  • pH Correction Units

Two types of media are specified in our range of pH Correction Units:- Calcite, which is a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media. Acidic waters slowly dissolve the media and does not overcorrect under normal conditions, regular backwashing will help to reclassify the bed to maintain service rates. Corosex®, due to it being a highly reactive magnesium oxide, is usually blended with Calcite in order to prevent pH overcorrection. It is recommended that the Calcite/Corosex® blend be regularly backwashed, it is sometimes used in “upflow” service.
